Tooling
Overview
Section titled “Overview”tools.core.lef (instance np-tools) is the shared tooling host for internal services used by the team.
This VM runs on np-leftec-hipervisorA-1.
Purpose
Section titled “Purpose”- Run internal productivity and platform tools in one place.
- Provide stable URLs for shared services (mostly behind the reverse proxy).

Dependencies

Operational notes
Section titled “Operational notes”- Most services on this host are deployed as long-lived services; use the documented container/service pattern when applicable (see Containers as a Service).
- Credentials and API keys belong in Vault; do not copy secrets into Git.
Backup & recovery
Section titled “Backup & recovery”- This VM is backed up daily via EVEO (see
np-leftec-hipervisorA-1).
Known risks / failure modes
Section titled “Known risks / failure modes”- One host failure affects multiple team tools; treat changes as coordinated maintenance.
- Certificate renewal issues show up as widespread TLS errors.
