Multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Multi-factor authentication (MFA) requires two or more independent factors to authenticate a user:
- Something you know (password/PIN)
- Something you have (phone, hardware key)
- Something you are (biometrics)
MFA reduces risk when passwords are compromised.
