Aspect model
An aspect model is a way to describe a service by looking at it through multiple complementary aspects.
Instead of describing only “what it is”, the aspect model also captures “how it is created, secured, delivered, and kept healthy”.
Common aspects are:
- Development: how the service is made and changed.
- Delivery: how the service is brought into production (and re-released when it changes).
- Security: how trust and assurance are realized.
- Operational management: how the service is operated and supported over time.
A practical way to keep the model actionable is to describe each aspect through:
- Organization: roles, responsibilities, ownership.
- Process: how work flows and decisions are made.
- Technique: the mechanisms and tools that make it real.
