Collaborators

This section documents how we work with collaborators at LEF: expectations, role profiles, and collaboration principles.

Role profiles include the evaluation rubric (signals) and red flags for the role.

  • Thinking comes before skills — we value reasoning and system understanding; tools can be learned.
  • Autonomy with ownership — you manage dependencies, communicate early, and own outcomes end-to-end.
  • Culture is architecture — culture is the system of decisions, feedback loops, and transparency that shapes behavior.
  • No functional legacy in people — we challenge rigid mental models and inherited rules that no longer fit.
  • Human-centered, respectful directness — we keep feedback kind and clear, and we address issues early so we can learn and deliver effectively.
  • Prefer written context over implicit knowledge: assumptions, constraints, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ask early questions and clarify before building; rework is always more expensive later.
  • Prefer strong defaults; avoid one-off exceptions that become permanent.
  • Treat feedback as normal and expected in a remote-first setup.
